SUTTON, March 15th, 2017 – Mother Nature will have proven wrong the sceptics that thought winter was over. In the last 24 hours, more than a meter of fresh snow have fallen at the bottom of Mont SUTTON, and it’s still falling hard. This is a historic moment for the resort, as it has not seen so much snow fall in such a short amount of time. On February 16, 2007, 75 cm of fresh snow had fallen in 24 hours.
Skiers will be able to enjoy this deep powder snow, that is still accumulating, during the next few days. This snowfall marks a full return of winter to the great pleasure of snow sports enthusiasts. On top of taking part in history, they will have the opportunity to complete their stay at Mont SUTTON with several activities at the mountain.
For St-Paddy’s Day, after a treasure hunt on the slopes, skiers are invited to Bar Le Tucker for its traditional live music Friday après-ski with Sandy Grenier and to get a chance win special gifts from Carlsberg. What’s more, part of the day’s profits will be donated to the Brome-Missisquoi-Perkins hospital foundation. Adrenaline and Balance Boardshop will be on-site in the Snow Park on Saturday to liven up the day that will end with dinner and dancing hosted by Coop Gym Santé Sutton. All weekend long, free ski demos at Boutique Expérience SUTTON will allow skiers to try out new skis. This new snow will also allow the activities to continue until at least Easter, with among other things, the Snow on the Beach and many others.
A full schedule to allow people to take full advantage of this historic winter storm that will be remembered for years to come!
